Congratulations to Unitemps Nottingham Trent University for winning the Value for Money award.
The award recognises the team has improved the efficiency of the University. The successful team demonstrates that the initiative has added value.
‘’In its first year of operation, our three-person Unitemps team have employed more than 2,000 students for over 7,000 assignments, and achieved a turnover in excess of £730,000. The introduction of Unitemps within the University gives students the chance to earn and learn alongside their studies on a temporary basis. In a monitored and supported environment. Unitemps closely monitors our students’ availability for work, sourcing assignments that accommodates their study commitments, and fulfils their interests and expertise.
By employing our own students – rather than sourcing external candidates – Unitemps improves the employment prospects of our students, whilst avoiding costly agency fees for NTU. Through this structured and focused employment environment, an even stronger relationship is developing between students and the University. There is better communication between NTU departments. A streamlined employment process is offering a service that meets the needs of the University across a wide range of areas – from advanced research assignments to open day ambassadors. In just one year of operation, the Unitemps team has created a multitude of opportunities for our students. The environment allows them to develop confidence, as they gain invaluable hands-on-skills and experience in support of their career goals.’’
